The Red House selected as Arts Award Champion Centre

Posted on 27th July 2023

Snape Primary School – Art Award Group 1 achieving their certificates (The Red House).

The Red House, Aldeburgh are delighted to have been selected as a Trinity Arts Award Champion Centre for 2023-2024!

Joe Carr tells us more: “Champion Centres are recognised by Trinity College London for their successful delivery of Art Award qualifications with an exciting programme of events, impact on learners and innovation in delivery. Centre status is recognised by Trinity through the award of a certificate and a logo, with opportunities to showcase their creative offer throughout the year. Trinity Champion Centres inspire existing and potential centres by sharing their practice and advocating for the qualifications in their communities and more widely.”

“Recent Art Award projects at The Red House include working with Aldeburgh Primary School to ensure that three entire year groups gain an Arts Award qualification. This had been through a variety of workshops at The Red House and in school exploring music and the arts. We are currently moderating these children’s work over the summer holiday period.”

“We have also developed an Arts Award Club with Snape Primary School and have worked with over 40 pupils to achieve an Arts Award qualification in afterschool clubs. These will also be moderated over the summer holiday period.”

“The Red House are delighted to be running a HAF week-long programme for 13-16 year olds over the first week of August. As part of this exciting week we will also be offering Arts Award Bronze and Silver Levels to the 15 young people who will be attending. Please contact jcarr@brittenpearsarts.org for advice about offering Arts Award in your venue.”
