Saxmundham Museum is now open for the new season. The Museum looks forwards to welcoming new visitors and old friends alike over the coming months.
Our doors will be open every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10.00am – 1.00pm from now to the end of September. Why not pop in and see our new displays and take a look at some of the historic aspects of our important market town. We also have a great new collection of gifts and souvenirs.

Saturday 23rd April 3.00pm – 8.00pm
Saxmundham Museum will be supporting The Town Council at several of the events to mark the 750th anniversary of the granting of The Town’s Charter. On Saturday 23rd April we will be at The Market Hall from 3.00pm – 8.00pm. Local residents are invited to bring along an old piece of memorabilia or an object from the past and we will record and photograph it for posterity. Jeremy Smith will also officially launch the 750th anniversary celebrations that are planned to take place later in the year. Refreshments will be available.
Film Evening on 28th April – A Star Is Born
Our film planned for Thursday 28th April is A Star Is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. To reserve your seat for film evenings by call Peter or Sally on 01728 605744. Suggested donation £5 per head.
