Our Story of Saxmundham, a newly published book, describes how the East Suffolk town has grown over the centuries, from its earliest beginnings as a small Saxon settlement, to its emergence as a thriving market town and its continued development as an important East Suffolk hub.

A collaborative project from long time Saxmundham residents Richard & Viv Wills Crisp and Kevin & Jane Gale, the book contains fascinating historical photographs and insightful stories and anecdotes. It is truly a fascinating read for all ages.
Saxmundham Museum is hosting a morning to launch the publication of this exciting new book on Saturday 23rd October from 10.00am – 1.00pm. It will be an opportunity for everyone to meet the people behind the book, which will be essential reading for anyone with Saxmundham connections.
