Woodbridge Tide Mill Museum

One of the last working Tide Mills in the UK

Home » Museums » Woodbridge Tide Mill Museum

Visit The Tide Mill, Woodbridge, one of only a handful in the world still producing flour on a regular basis and among the first tide mills in the country, working on the same site for well over 800 years.

Wheels and stones turn, grinding the grain as they have done for many hundreds of years. Visit The Tide Mill, Woodbridge, and experience one of the first tide mills in the country, and unquestionably the last one working – operating for well over 800 years.

The friendly wardens will guide you around a host of interactive activities, unique computer generated imagery and children’s activities to help you discover how the grain and ultimately the flour move around the Mill. Most days you can even see the huge oak water wheel turning.

A scheduled wheel and machinery turning. Experience the sights, sounds and drama of the mill as wheels and stones turn, grinding the grain again as they have done for centuries.

For additional information about admission, opening hours, access, facilities and learning opportunities, please visit the museum’s website
