Christchurch Mansion

This beautiful Tudor Mansion is the jewel in the crown of Ipswich’s historic past, boasting over 500 years of history.

Home » Museums » Christchurch Mansion

At Christchurch Mansion you can discover 500 years of history. See rooms just how they would have been from the 16th through to the 19th century and have fun exploring the past.

Visitors can also see enchanting toys and historic games, the Wolsey Gallery with it’s collection of art by Suffolk painters as well as original works by Constable and Gainsborough – the biggest and best collection outside London!

Throughout the year Christchurch Mansion offers a fun and lively special events programme, which is suitable for all of the family.  There are also free tours, led by expert guides, run each day between March and November.

To keep up to date with the latest exhibitions and projects, and be among the first to book special events and activities sign up to the Ipswich Museums mailing list.

For additional information about admission, opening hours, access, facilities and learning opportunities, please visit the museum’s website
