‘Hutvent Caldendar’ Counts Down to Christmas

Posted on 15th December 2020

Taff Gillingham keeps us updated with what’s been happening at the Great War Huts during 2020, including the creation of the ‘Hutvent Calendar’, which has been specially designed for the build up to Christmas…

Despite having a very quiet year, the Great War Huts team have been working hard to keep everyone entertained and educated in the run-up to Christmas.

Nearly all of our original First World War huts have a louvred vent at each end (the vents even form part of our GWH logo) so, for Advent, it seemed the ideal time to launch our HutVent Calendar!

Hutvent Calendar

Every day, from 1st to 24th December, Lyndsay, Kev and Taff will be presenting a short, one to three minute, talk about interesting, unusual, or thought-provoking artefacts from the Great War Huts Collection.

The talks are posted on the Great War Huts YouTube channel each day, with links to these on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The talks will all remain available on YouTube.
