Introducing ‘Suffolk – Good Journey County’, a free initiative promoting car-free days out and holidays in 2024/25.
Suffolk Growth and Suffolk County Council are working with Good Journey to promote car-free tourism – opening up access to Suffolk’s leisure, culture and nature for more people.
Your attraction could be one of the first members to join ‘Suffolk – Good Journey County’ – gaining FREE Good Journey Membership for 2 years and FREE publicity in 2024, with support to attract more car-free visitors!
PLUS invite your team to the free Green Travel webinar in the new year.
Join top attractions like Holkham, Pensthorpe, Blenheim and Eden Project – and help more people to enjoy Suffolk by train, bus, bike and foot.
Commitments from attractions
• Choose a car-free discount or reward to encourage car-free visitors – eg Harewood House (50% off), RHS Garden Hyde Hall (30% off), Go Cotswold Tours (free drink)
• Send details to set up your page – photos, ‘about us’ wording and incentive – see Holkham and BeWILDerwood
• Good Journey will do all the travel research to set up a free journey planning page for you, hosted on their website – for visitors to plan door-to-door routes to your attraction and receive a reward if they arrive car-free.
• Add a hyperlink from your “Getting Here” page – with “Suffolk – Good Journey County” green travel message, promote your offer, and track take up.
