
Activity Days at Dunwich Museum
Dunwich Greyfriars will be running some fantastic summer events in partnership with Dunwich Museum and Art Branches, celebrating one of the only surviving relics of the lost Medieval City of Dunwich.
Magnifying Greyfriars: Tuesday 3rd August
Fun activity day looking for and recording magical patterns in the natural world with an artist. Suitable for ages 6-12. Cost £4 per child. Bring a packed lunch. Drop off, 10.30-14.30
Family Archaeology: Saturday 14th August
Explore how archaeologists uncover the secrets of the past in our dig pits and handling collection, 6-12 year olds. Donations welcomed, 2.30-4.00
Bells of Greyfriars: Saturday 21st August
Relive dramatic tales of Medieval times at Greyfriars and the Lost City.
Suitable for adults and children. No need to book. Donations welcomed, 2.30-4.30
Greyfriars flags: Thursday 26th August
Come and design and make your own flag with support of an artist to take home based on the rich history of Greyfriars Friary. Suitable for ages 6-12. Cost £3 per child. Bring a packed lunch. Drop off, 10.30-14.30
Bells of Dunwich: Saturday 28th August
Hunt for word treasures and create a Dunwich poem on a scroll. Hear the Bells of Dunwich ringing! Suitable for ages 6-12. Donations welcomed, 11.00-12.30
Dunwich Voices: Saturday 28th August
Poetry Evening with local poet Caroline Way. Explore the story of the Lost City in poetry and music. Reading Room field. Tickets £10. Starts 7.45, interval and drinks included.
