Introduction to Mono Screenprinting with Heidi Sharp
Venue: Gainsborough’s House
Throughout this course Print Workshop Technician, Heidi Sharp will guide you from start to finish through the process of mono screen printing.
Taking inspiration from observational studies of still life setups and the local landscape, the workshop will take place in the Landscape Studio at Gainsborough’s House. The course aims to ensure that you learn the essentials of the process, allowing you to feel confident in mono screen printing independently in the future. At the end of the day, you will leave with a small number of prints inspired by the prompts set up for the course.
You will be supported at each step, allowing you to develop your understanding of the design process. We are keen for participants to embrace the skill of working from observation and advise you to take inspiration from the beauty of the immediate surroundings on site and in Gainsborough’s Garden.
This relaxed, supportive workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone looking to build their creative confidence. You’ll leave with multiple finished prints, practical screen-printing skills, and all the knowledge you need to continue printing on your own. All materials and equipment are provided.
