Classic Cars meet Classic Aircraft at the Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum
Classic vehicles come in all shapes and sizes – and ages. The North Norfolk Classic Vehicle Club will be gracing the hallowed turf of the Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum with a number of their preserved cars, vans, lorries, campers and sportsters on WEDNESDAY the 15th of May on what they have termed a ‘drive out’ – and very welcome they will be too.
From drop-head classics from the early days of motoring to classic sports machines of the 90’s and noughties someone in the NNCVC has probably got one.
The Museum site will be fully open as usual from 10am through to 4pm on the day, with all the aircraft, cockpits and equipment displays, the 446th, Air Sea Rescue, the Royal Observer Corps building – newly refurbished, and the Bomber Command museum all open and Museum Volunteers on hand to explain the thousands of aviation related items that make up the Museum Collection.
The NAAFI café will be open for the serious business of tea (or coffee) and cake, and the shop will be offering a wide range of aviation related goodies to help you make the most of your day. If you really want to go to town on lunch then why not try the Buck Inn situated just outside the Museum gates – give them a ring on 01986 896883 and book your table!Entrance to the Museum, and parking when you arrive, are all free – but a donation would be appreciated to help with the maintenance of all the exhibits and to help us keep the Museum growing.
