Broadland MG Heritage Run to NASAM

When: May 1, 2023 Time: 10am to 4pm Venue: Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum Address: 8 The St, Flixton, Bungay NR35 1NZ, UK Cost: Free Suitable for: All ages Event category: Days Out

The Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum is pleased to be able to host an exciting visit from the Broadland MG Owners Club who will be holding their 31st Heritage Run on the early May Bank Holiday.

We understand that up to 150 of the Club’s classic and heritage cars will set off from the East Anglia Transport Museum at Carlton Colville in the morning and arrive with us at the Museum around lunchtime. Parking all these machines will be interesting – so expect to see plenty of restored, gleaming cars on display among our vintage aircraft. With a little sunshine, the effect of restored aircraft and restored cars together in the same place will be worth plenty of photos.

The Museum site will be fully open as usual from 10am through to 4pm on the day, with all the aircraft, cockpits and equipment displays, the 446th, Air Sea Rescue and ROC buildings all open and Museum Volunteers on hand to explain the thousands of aviation related items that make up the Museum Collection.

The NAAFI cafe will be open for the serious business of tea (or coffee) and cake, and the shop will be offering a wide range of aviation related goodies to help you make the most of your day.

Entrance to the Museum, and parking when you arrive, are all free – but we would really appreciate a donation to help with the never ending maintenance of all the exhibits and to help us keep the Museum growing.

We have aeroplanes on display that date from before the war through to the Canberras, Lightnings, Hunters and Harriers that have seen service in the RAF in more recent times. Across the whole site we have more than 60 aircraft and cockpit sections on display and can often offer access into many of them for photo opportunities. Museum Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and point out some of the features of each aircraft.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on a lead (but not in the shop please, it gets a bit narrow). We are wheelchair friendly with access to all areas – apart from aircraft cockpits.

We look forward to seeing you there…!
